About Milkaid®

Being lactose intolerant used to mean giving up milk, dairy foods and the important nutrients, minerals and vitamins they provide. The Milkaid range of products contain lactase enzyme, a safe natural enzyme that is usually found in the digestive system. It works by breaking down the complex milk sugar lactose, into two more easily digestible sugars – glucose and galactose. Lactase enzyme improves lactose digestion in individuals who have difficulty digesting lactose. You can now enjoy milk and dairy foods again, without upset. Learn More.

Cutting Through The Jargon

In today’s society when it comes to nutrition, there’s always the next trend or a scaremongering headline. This information can seem scary or confusing, but in this article, you’ll learn about what lactose intolerance is, the symptoms, and how it can affect your life.

The Importance of Dairy

It’s commonly understood that dairy is an important component of the diet in childhood due to its calcium content. Whilst calcium is vital for overall health, particularly bones and teeth, dairy has many more beneficial micronutrients which are outlined in this article.

Soothing Your Stomach

Lactose intolerance is a common condition although symptoms can vary between individuals. Some of the most common symptoms include diarrhoea, bloating, flatulence, stomach pain and constipation. In this article you will find a few tips you can try to help soothe your stomach.

Milkaid Tablets

Available in 60’s & 120’s

Milkaid Tablets are raspberry flavoured chewable tablets containing lactase enzyme to improve the digestion of lactose. Each tablet contains lactase 3000 ALU and is free from artificial flavours, gluten or yeast. Milkaid Tablets are designed to work in the acid environment of the stomach and are convenient when eating out. Chew 1-2 tablets immediately before consuming any food containing lactose. You can adjust the number of tablets you take to suit your own requirements, but you should take no more than six tablets with any one meal.

Milkaid Drops

Available in 15 ml

Completing the range Milkaid Drops can be added to milk to reduce lactose content and then used on cereal and in drinks. Simply add three drops to 500ml of milk, gently shake and refrigerate for 24 hours. This will reduce the lactose level by approximately 70%. For an even greater reduction add ten drops, which will reduce the lactose level by approximately 99%. Once treated you can use the milk just like ordinary milk for cooking, on cereals or in beverages.
